Uses Viokase-V Powder contains lipase, protease and amylase as the active ingredients. Viokase is indicated as a digestive aid in replacement therapy where digestion of proteins, carbohydrates and fats are inadequate due to exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. Cautions Consult with your veterinarian if your pet has a history of an allergic reaction to any ingredients found in Viokase-V Powder. Keep out of reach of children. How to use Viokase-V Powder should be added to moistened dog food, mixed thoroughly and allowed to set at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before eaten. Possible side effects Diarrhea, weight loss, increased appetite are some of the possible side effects. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your veterinarian promptly. Missed dose If you miss giving a dose, give it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double the dose.
